Healthe Care is the largest privately owned network of private hospitals in Australia. Healthe Care takes pride in delivering premium care to all its valued clients and patients through specialist services, facilities and medical technology.
Healthe Care has adopted a multi-disciplinary approach to health care offering a range of inpatient, outpatient and community based health care services while redeveloping its facilities to sustain this approach.
Over the last two years, Healthe Care has committed significant funds to redevelopment projects across Gosford Private Hospital, Currumbin Clinic, Maitland Private Hospital, Lingard Private Hospital and South Eastern Private Hospital. Further, the Group has undertaken extensive refurbishment of patient accommodation
and added additional services including an emergency referral centre at Gosford Private Hospital.
Today, Healthe Care employs over 2,500 people across a portfolio of 12 hospitals throughout Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria and Tasmania.
The aim of the project was to provide Healthe Care and its subsidiaries with a wayfinding strategy and design which could be introduced and overlaid consistently across all properties which it owns or operates.
This project presented some interesting challenges for the design team at Wayfinding Australia. It was necessary to obtain an understanding of the clients needs, both corporate and operational, the uniqueness of each site in order to ensure the manual provided flexibility, opportunities for internal change management and still address the core principles of universal design.
The new Healthe Care Wayfinding Signage Manual is now being implemented by the Healthe Care group.
